LIPSTICK presents a journey of transformation, where one man — haunted by his mother’s reflection — confronts gender, trauma, and self-affirmation through immersive storytelling, live music, and raw vulnerability.


Written by acclaimed Peruvian author Linda Morales Caballero and performed by Edu Díaz, an award-winning theater maker from the Canary Islands, LIPSTICK unfolds like a fever dream where the intimate becomes profoundly radical.

LABIAL es un viaje de transformación donde un hombre —perseguido por el reflejo de su madre— desafía el género, el trauma y la autoafirmación a través de una narración inmersiva, música en vivo y una vulnerabilidad desgarradora.


Escrito por la reconocida autora peruana Linda Morales Caballero e interpretado por Edu Díaz, creador teatral canario multipremiado, LABIAL es un sueño febril en el que lo íntimo se vuelve profundamente radical.

LIPSTICK premiered in Spanish (LABIAL) at the Hispanic Federation’s FuerzaFest 2025, where it received the Outstanding Achievement   for its bold and emotional storytelling.


A new English extended version was presented at Frenzy Fest 2025 at El Barrio’s Artspace PS109, deepening the exploration of identity, memory, and desire.

LIPSTICK se estrenó en español (LABIAL) en el FUERZAfest 2025 (Hispanic Federation), donde recibió el Outstanding Achievement Award por su audaz y emotiva propuesta escénica.


Una nueva versión extendida en inglés se presentó en el Frenzy Fest 2025, en El Barrio’s Artspace PS109, profundizando en la exploración de la identidad, la memoria y el deseo.

LIPSTICK amplifies queer and immigrant voices that defy silence, transforming confession into ritual and memory into rebellion. It’s a theatrical act of visibility, vulnerability, and collective healing.

LIPSTICK is based on Labial, a short story from El libro de los enigmas by Linda Morales Caballero, a Peruvian writer whose poetic universe fuses memory, femininity, and mystery.


LIPSTICK está basado en Labial, un relato del libro El libro de los enigmas de Linda Morales Caballero, escritora peruana cuyo universo poético entrelaza memoria, feminidad y misterio.

Edu Díaz

Adaptation, director, producer & performer

Canarian-born, NYC-based. Fulbright alumnus. Multi-awarded theatermaker and actor. Creator of the acclaimed A Drag Is Born (winner of multiple awards, recently at Edinburgh Fringe 2025). Trained with masters such as Moisés Kaufman or Susan Batson, Edu shapes stories where magical realism collides with raw truth.


Nacido en Canarias y afincado en Nueva York. Becario Fulbright. Creador teatral y actor galardonado en múltiples ocasiones. Autor del aclamado A Drag Is Born (ganador de varios premios, presentado en el Edinburgh Fringe 2025). Formado con maestros como Moisés Kaufman o Susan Batson, Edu construye historias donde el realismo mágico colisiona con la verdad más cruda.

Peruvian writer and poet whose work bridges the realms of the lyrical and the theatrical. Her storytelling explores femininity, memory, and transformation with visceral honesty. In LIPSTICK, her words become the heartbeat of a journey through desire, fear, and self-discovery.


Escritora y poeta peruana cuya obra tiende puentes entre lo lírico y lo teatral. Su narrativa explora la feminidad, la memoria y la transformación con una sinceridad visceral. En LIPSTICK, sus palabras se convierten en el pulso de un viaje por el deseo, el miedo y el autodescubrimiento.

Angelho Díaz

Music.

Cuban pianist and musical director. From Havana’s Cayo Hueso to New York City, Angelho brings spontaneity, virtuosity, and soul. His live score for LIPSTICK is not accompaniment—it is heartbeat, pulse, and atmosphere.


Pianista y director musical cubano. Desde el barrio habanero de Cayo Hueso hasta Nueva York, Angelho aporta espontaneidad, virtuosismo y alma. Su partitura en vivo para LIPSTICK no es acompañamiento: es pulso, latido y atmósfera.
