Edu is a Fulbright-awarded artist from Tenerife based in New York City.


Edu Díaz is an LGBTQ+ Fulbright-awarded actor, performer, theater producer, and writer with a background in marketing and communications from the Canary Islands (Spain) based in New York.


He is the creator and performer in 'A Drag Is Born,' a show in iteration to premiere in Spring 2024 at the NYC and the Orlando Fringes, and in ‘Fantastic Mr. S,’ a play that premiered in 2022 at the United Solo Festival (New York City).


He is part of two companies with recurrent shows: 'A Really Real Serious Collective' (clownprov in English) and 'Hormigas NYC' (improv in Spanish). He also produces and hosts the Clown Open Mic for Clown Gym.


With over ten years of experience in performing arts, he produced over ten awarded plays in Spain, such as ‘Amores Minúsculos’ and ‘Tus Otros Hijos No Te Olvidan,’ and has performed in theater and films, such as 'Smoking Club (129 Rules)' and 'Third Week.'


He has trained with the best masters in the world, such as Susan Batson, Fernando Piernas, Moisés Kaufman, Mery Setrakian, and Broadway producer Ken Davenport.


In 2019, a Fulbright grant in Performing Arts brought him to New York, where he is striving to become part of the city’s artistic bustle.
